Job Description:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field study or equivalent years’ of work-related experience

Work Experiences:

3+ years of experience in retail managementPrevious experience in merchandising and visual implementation

Skills:

Self-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentLeadership skills to inspire, lead and manage a retail project teamCoach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team membersAbility to remain organized, pay attention to detail, work well under pressure and meet critical deadlinesAnalytical with strong problem-solving and creative resolution skills, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellenceAbility to delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate project team membersStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with individuals at various levels inside and outside of the organizationStrong understanding and ability to train merchandising and visual executionStrong Microsoft Office program experience, including Power Point,  Excel and Word

 

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage all aspects of New, Relocation and/or Update store projects, including: execution planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and other issues as arise.Manage the execution of fixture/visual/merchandise 3rd party vendor contracted services and provide on-site leadership for project teamsEnsure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standardsEnsure financial targets relating to budget, wages and other controllable expenses are metSet and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholdersExecute project plans, milestones, and activities for all phases of the projectManage day-to-day project activities and resources to adequately achieve project objectives in planned timeframesLead project team meetings, during the pre-planning, project execution and project close-out phasesMonitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverablesReport on project progress and success criteria results, metrics, tests and management activitiesLead and act as an internal quality control check for the projectManage recruiting and hiring processes for an assigned project teamMonitor staff performance and oversee performance evaluation of project teams to ensure that talent mobility, development and management goals are metParticipate in establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities and provide greater efficiencies for the organizationDevelop a thorough understanding of Academy’s policies, procedures and safety rules.Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
