A clear leader in specialty underground construction, Schnabel is looking for a Geotechnical Project Manager with experience managing multiple projects concurrently while maintaining positive job income. Founded in 1959 in Washington DC, we have grown to become one of the nation’s top geostructural contractors. Family owned and operated, we are in a stage of heavy growth and adding another project manager to our team is key to our overall business goals.

 

Our typical scope of work includes installation of piles, lagging, walers, tiebacks, braces, and more for support of excavation projects. We also take on projects with underpinning, grouting, tunneling, and unique wall structures as part of their scope.

 

Responsibilities:

Design, Plan, organize and coordinate construction with Schnabel’s field supervisorPrepare project budget, schedule, monitor project costs, and monthly revenue and profit estimatesCommunicate with customers and suppliersInspect projects to monitor compliance with the plans and safety requirementsPartner with our safety department to maintain compliance with company standards for safety and behavior health programs

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or equivalent degree and experience2+ years of experience as project manager in construction related roles Experience with earth retention, deep foundations, underpinning, or heavy civil construction – Highly preferredAbility to travelExcellent oral and written communication skillsProblem-solving, negotiating and conflict resolution skills
