Project Manager, Operations

Job Summary:

The Operations Project Manager will lead the implementation of business strategies, identify process improvement opportunities, and support key initiatives within the operations department. This position will see projects through from start-to-finish, gaining extensive hands-on experience and opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage new and on-going projects from inception to completion, including, but not limited to: determining project scope, drafting a project plan, identifying project milestones, coordinating cross-functional deliverables, flagging issues or concerns early on, developing solutions, and sharing project updates routinely. Create and maintain project plans using Microsoft Project, OneNote, Smartsheet or other forum to organize information and keep cross-functional team members on track with project milestones and deliverables on schedule with project deadlines. Identify and employ optimization opportunities to business processes and procedures (i.e. production planning, capacity planning, KPI’s/Metrics, efficiency, distribution operations, communications, reports/systems). Work closely and collaborate with cross-functional peers and leaders from Sales and Marketing to Product Development, Quality, Regulatory, Document Control, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, Distribution/Logistics and Customer Service to ensure business needs are met. Responsible for ensuring that the project scope, requirements and milestones are understood and implemented on time. Conduct periodic operational process analysis to assess the team’s performance and lead initiatives to improve future performance. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. 

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience: 

Minimum Qualifications:

Five to seven years of experience in project management or inventory management. Experience with data management tools and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent analytical, planning, and project management skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong problem-solving and critical analysis skills. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of management and professional peers. Ability to interface effectively with Team Members in various functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in the Healthcare or Medical Device industry.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Business or Engineering related field.

Compensation: The anticipated range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000.  Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.

Physical requirements/Work Environment 

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking.  Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.  May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.  Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
