Project Manager, Operations (OPM)


Job Description:

The Operations Project Manager (OPM) determines the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing Nobel Biocare products from start-up, building the product line, through satisfactory production. This includes analyzing engineering design documents to establish manufacturing methods and processes to manufacture the components, creating conceptual sketches and initiating the design and building of required tooling. Projects are related to process development and reengineering work in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Labeling, and Packaging.

This person will determine outside vendor services needed for manufacturing and establishes outsourced vendor manufacturing & quality plans. The role will drive improvement to product cost, quality and performance by utilizing Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) methodologies. They will also provide engineering technical support. The position will be based at our manufacturing plant in Yorba Linda, CA full-time.

Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of projects/initiatives running in parallel, ensuring stakeholder alignment. 

Successfully deliver each project according to specifications, on time, and within budget. 

Serve as the key point of contact for all Operations-related activities in the phasing in and out of products (assortment change) on a project basis. 

Centrally plan and coordinate all planning and logistics activities for the phasing in and out of products for assigned projects. 

Ensure optimum product availability for the successful launch of new products in line with launch plans, monitored monthly by KPIs. 

Act as the main project manager and take ownership of projects related to Operations in the Americas. 

Quickly learn and apply standard tools and processes implemented in the department. 

Maintain up-to-date status of relevant documentation and monitoring in a transparent manner. 

Continuously improve, develop, and implement, together with stakeholders, global, robust, and harmonized processes for the phasing in and out of products. 

Interact with Operations functions, Launch teams, R&D, and Business Units. Identify, develop, and manage initiatives that drive service improvements and reduce supply chain costs. 

Persistently apply EBS (continuous improvement) tools like PSP, TPI, Kaizen, and other LEAN principles where suitable. 

Frequently request master data changes in SAP and learn basic SAP skills.

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Engineering or similar field3+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in OperationsProject Management (PMP) certification is a plusExperience working with SAP (or other ERP) and Master Data systems is plus Experience in Supply or Production Planning in SAP is highly preferredAbility to run a project from concept to conclusion, including outlining goals, project phases, timelines, resources, budget, and activities, as well as monitoring progress, taking corrective actions, and escalating issues on a timely basis to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met.·       

 

 

Critical Skills/Technical/Know-How:

Fluent written and spoken English; other languages are an asset.Strong communication and organizational skills; well-organized and structured.Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with good business acumen.Comfortable working in matrix organizations across multiple functions and geographies.Understand the links and connections between the supply chain, phase in/out, master data, product development, and sales.

 

Target Market Salary Range:

The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
