How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

As our new Project Manager (Program Advisory) on a long-term contract, within the Water sector, you’ll work with a team of highly skilled specialists managing regionally based projects and programs to provide efficient customer-focussed capital investment outcomes. With this you will play an integral role in one of the largest and most complex capital programs in South Australia managing the delivery of critical water assets within a Portfolio Delivery Group.  You’ll drive value, connect assets to strategy and proactively respond to disruptive change by building and maintaining strong and constructive working relationship with project teams and business partners. Within this role you will drive safety performance outcomes within the specific delivery group by ensuring that projects or designated activities comply with internal and external standards, acts and regulations.

Here are the key things you’ll do:

Deliver concurrent complex and challenging water infrastructure projects from inception through to delivery and practical completion to achieve our client’s overall program objectives.Work closely, and within our client’s environment, to understand and successful deliver integrated projects by managing key relationships across a broad stakeholder group.Integrate with our client’s regionally based delivery partners.Work in a hybrid environment, with periodic travel to our client’s regional hub at Mount Barker, as well as intrastate travel to other client sites as required.Manage work programmes to ensure that they are delivered to client expectations, timeframes and specifications, including achievement of key program performance outcomes (KPI’s)Leading financial forecasting both short term and long-term planning, ensuring the investment targets of the Capital Delivery Program are delivered.Provide support in the collation of data and information required to drive effective decision-making on fit for purpose delivery strategies,Proactively and consistently report to the Senior Project Manager, and other key stakeholders, on status, progress and completion of projects.Seek opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives; and where relevant, manage and deliver actions associated with these.

An excellent understanding of Project Management, and a passion for construction projects that make a difference to our worldSolid background and experience with infrastructure projects, water infrastructure projects is ideal  but not necessaryQualifications in technical discipline such as engineering, project management, construction management or similarDemonstrated experience engaging with multiple internal and external stakeholders with the ability to manage competing priorities.Ability to travel regularly to our client’s regional hub at Mount Barker, as well as intrastate travel to other client sites as required.Excellent negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
