Project Manager, Store Growth 

US Remote (Central time zone preferred)

Compensation: $75-85K plus bonus

Reports to: Director, Project Management Store Growth 

Travel Required: 10% 

Background Required: Significant Project Management experience in a high growth organization whose growth includes M&A and ground up

Project Manager Overview: This role is critical to our new store growth strategies. The candidate will work closely with key stakeholders, senior management and lead internal team members to successfully onboard acquired and constructed stores. In addition, this role will lead a range of other projects defined by business needs. This role is full-time and is remote.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

Stakeholder Management: 

Identify key stakeholders and define project goals, scope, and deliverables. Develop communication cadence with stakeholders and senior leadership project status, complex problems, timeline issues, and recommended actions for correction. Develop a trusted adviser relationship with project sponsors and key stakeholders through consistent communication. Deliver on commitments and facilitate on time delivery. Act as the primary contact and liaison for owner/seller and Sun Auto functional leads. 

 

Project & Team Leadership: 

Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring all members are aligned and motivated to achieve project objectives. Oversee the execution of project plans, track progress, and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate task scheduling with construction, real estate, legal, operations and other functional team members. Ensure regular communication and status visibility for those with responsibility for overall new store pipeline forecasting and reporting. 

 

Risk Management: 

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes. 

 

Documentation and Continuous Improvement: 

Ensure the maintenance of all project documentation and records for auditing purposes Produce project close-out reports and conduct lessons-learned meetings. Capture learnings and document same in knowledge base. Lead continuous improvement process change management. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor’s degree in business, project management or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience planning, organizing, and executing projects across multiple work streams and stakeholders 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

Exceptional organizational and project management skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment and lead large teams for deadline Experience with project management software and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Monday.com) Ability to effectively present project updates with a firm understanding of dependencies, scope, and milestones Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels Must be comfortable working across multiple time zones Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as project requirements dictate
