Introduction

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Manager to join our Grinding, Bulk, Pyro and Ferrous (GBP) Proposals and Project Management team. In this role you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Engineered to Order (ETO) Projects in accordance with the Metso processes, tools and policies, utilizing solid Project Management practices.

 

Primary focus of this role is enhancing operational efficiency through the execution of Principal Company Model (PCM) projects globally, while also contributing to the business’s long-term profitability.

 

 What You’ll Do

 

Direct oversight of upgrades and modernization projects, ensuring that deliveries are adequately staffed, aligning with customer expectations, satisfying contractual requirements, and hitting safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets. Accountable for maintaining strong scope change management procedures in the execution of projects. Accountable for overseeing the lessons learned, pinpointing opportunities for continuous enhancement, and delivering feedback to the appropriate stakeholders. Comprehend the requirements of the customer and address them efficiently. Assisting with the project warranty procedure and resolution as necessary. Collaborate with various internal stakeholders such as Sales, Proposals and Account Management, Technical Sales Support, Product Commercial Support, Engineering, Purchasing, Sourcing, Logistics and Field Services.

 

Who You Are

 

Suitable academic background, such as a master’s or bachelor’s degree. Requires at least 8+ years of experience primarily in overseeing equipment delivery projects. Understanding of relevant mining and mineral processing technologies. Capable of managing several projects and tasks at the same time and prioritizing them as needed. Certifications in Project Management, like PMP or CAPM, are desirable. Mandatory SAP or equivalent ERP System working experience. Possesses experience with MS Project and demonstrates a willingness to learn and adapt to new project management tools. Proficiency in both spoken and written English language. Evident skills in influencing, a forward-thinking attitude, the ability to make decisions independently, and a motivation for achieving results. A collaborative individual with experience in working with international and virtual teams composed of individuals from diverse locations and cultures.
