JOB SUMMARY:
Leads the closeout of Epic Universe projects and assists with multi-year Capital Projects management for Ride & Show and Facilities. This role ensures effective project oversight, from conceptual planning to final execution, while adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and construction, to deliver exceptional results.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Responsible for closing out Epic Universe projects, ensuring all technical contractual and operational requirements are met. Duties include managing punchless, connecting final inspections, and turning over completed work to the Operations team. Lessons learned are documented to improve future projects.
+ Work with the AMP Epic Project Manager to develop and maintain project plans. Responsibilities include defining scope, creating budgets and schedules, and coordinating funding approvals. Collaborate with Engineering design and vendor teams to ensure alignment with performance specifications.
+ Handles contract preparation, bidding ,and awarding processes. This includes creating requests for proposals (RFP’s) construction agreements, safety plans, and performance specifications. Manages vendor performance to ensure projects stay on scheduling within budget while addressing any delays or quality concerns.
+ Conduct field inspections to ensure projects meet contract standards and specifications. Manages the submittal process Request for Information (RFI), Modification Documents (MOD DOCS), and the directive process. Prepares regular progress reports for senior management, providing updates on schedules, budgets, and project milestones. Implements recovery plans when delays or issues arise.
+ Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to ensure project goals are met. Resolves disputes, addresses, disruptions, and builds strong relationships with stakeholders to improve project outcomes and management practices.
+ Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
+ 5+ years of vendor management experience with significant in-field installation related experience is required.
+ 5+ years of theme park-specific experience is highly preferred;
+ or equivalent combination of education and experience.
