Design and execute operational production plan for products within the mining, fertilizer, oil and gas industry involving specialty pump and valve for sulphuric acid and molten sulphur applications. Develop the ‘Output Plan’ each month and maintain tracking mechanisms to ensure the team stays on track, utilizing Excel output plan/shortage report, work-center scheduling, and the War Room process. Ensure the plan meets financial objective (forecast) and includes margin to hedge higher risk orders. Identify orders with risk. Lead bi-weekly production meetings to highlight specific areas where the team is falling behind, which includes a review of current machine/personnel capacity, and reviewing exceptions to the plan. Lead and support the development and implementation of business system tools and reports using authorized corporate software - Power BI, Power App, 42Q and Excel. Schedule and facilitate daily War Room meeting, which serves as a 15-minute touch base with the production team to address immediate issues such as machinery breakdowns, employee call-ins/PTO, production delays, and review critical metrics, such as schedule adherence and quality. Track and escalate production and purchase orders as needed to ensure timely execution. Provide daily updates to Sales team for customer inquiries within 24 hours. Conduct internal kick-off meetings for major projects which require specific project plans. Project plan to monitor completion of drawings, programs, fixtures/work-holding, work orders, outsourcing, testing, and long-term demand. Liaise with Sales team as necessary to provide status updates as requested. Create monthly output plan one week prior to start of new month for senior management review. Build and monitor schedule adherence measurement. Present metric daily at War Room meeting ensuring less than 24-hour turnaround for customer inquiries to Sales team.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a manufacturing environment, or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field and 2 years of experience with production planning and project management in a manufacturing environment.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in all of the following:
Key level user experience in SAP or equivalent MRP system (for Manufacturing);
Manufacturing Execution Systems;
Utilizing Power BI for data analysis and creation of business process specific reports;
Utilizing Power Apps to code and develop apps that use data from multiple data sources; and
Creating reports and utilizing advanced formulas in Excel and cross-referencing for data analysis.
