We have an opening for a Project Manager: Electrical Engineering to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization. This position will be located in Dulles, VA OR Gilbert, AZ.

In this role you will:

Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line managementReview status of projects and budgetsManage schedules and prepare status reportsAssess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectivesDevelop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients

Responsibilities:

Engage and collaborate with program and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret program resource needs to effectively meet program milestones.Manage and maintain the day-to-day interfaces and communications between the Program Management Office (PMO), Engineering Directorate, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain (SCM). Resolve issues spanning across functional area.Generate Cost Estimates for proposed workBaseline, Manage, Control, and Close project(s) using a project management framework approach.  Coordinate control account cost and schedule performance through program life cycleGenerate, assess, track scope, cost, and schedule risks and opportunities supported by quantitative and predictive analyses.  Mitigate Risk and Exploit opportunities. Facilitating internal meetings in a way to support design, production, and problem resolutions. Initiate and maintain program subcontracts as well as intra-company work orders in support of program financial and schedule performance. Utilize fundamental engineering principles to facilitate production and design changes within the project team that result in superior products within the program budget.

To be successful you should have:

Experience leading a cost account to include conducting Earned Value (EVMS) cost -controlExperience leading a multi-discipline team in design & development of a new productExperience managing and directing subcontractsProject Management experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment such as harness, electrical power, command and data handling, test engineering, ground support design & development, and/or RF engineeringProficiency in Microsoft Project

Basic Qualifications:

3 years of experience with a STEM or Business Management Bachelor’s degree (1+ years with a Masters.) Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point

Preferred Qualifications:

Dual Degree in business and engineeringCAPM certification (current)Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance per business requirements (US citizenship required)

Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $110,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
