**Your role and responsibilities**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Manager who is a thought leader and problem solver, with experience in working with cross functional teams to join our Research Talent Programs Team. This role is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you will be managing multiple projects to support the IBM Research Global Internship Program, with a special focus on multiple elements of the Yorktown Heights lab site and its interns. This role involves planning, executing, and managing multiple aspects of the internship program behind the scenes, ensuring its alignment with the IBM’s talent objectives enterprise wide, and providing a positive experience for both the interns and IBM Research stakeholders.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Serve as a site focal for IBM Research Interns, Externs, Managers and Mentors.
* Intern Orientation, Onboarding, and Offboarding: Assist with planning and execution of effective orientation sessions for incoming interns, ensuring smooth onboarding processes that include necessary paperwork, equipment, and training.
* Mentorship & Supervision: Pair interns with appropriate mentors and buddies within the organization. Regularly monitor and support the progress of interns, providing feedback and addressing any issues promptly.
* Project Coordination: Manage day-to-day projects throughout the internship experience including end-of-internship presentation showcase.
* Manage and develop internal webpages for interns, externs, managers and mentors.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of intern performance, projects, and feedback including evaluation surveys. Prepare periodic reports on the program's progress and outcomes for senior management.
* Data collection and recommendations for programmatic enhancement year over year.
* Lead insights and curation of suggested content for sharing the story of the Intern to IBMer journey
* Manage the IBM Research Emeritus Program

**Required technical and professional expertise**
Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in an HR or internship context.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Airtable, Monday.com).
- Knowledge of best practices regarding internships is a plus.
