THE ROLE
Join our team and oversee critical water infrastructure projects across Christchurch. As an ambitious Project Manager, you will utilise your expertise to lead dedicated teams in the safe, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of projects focused on the renewal and upgrade of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure as part of the Department of Corrections Water Infrastructure Project. Your objective will be to fulfil client requirements, meet key performance indicators, and achieve financial targets in alignment with Downer's delivery model framework.
Reporting to the Construction Manager you will spend time in the office and on-site collaborating closely with a team of project engineers, crew leaders, technical staff, and support personnel to efficiently deliver projects.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Guide and coach others to promote a Zero-Harm culture proactively and visibly. Manage and control projects by leading the development of project delivery plans. Provide leadership & direction to achieve project objectives (includes standards and procedures and provide advice regarding technical issues) Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Monitor and report on project expenditures and revenues to proactively control profitable outcomes on all projects.ABOUT YOU
An Engineering or Technical qualification and/or a Diploma in Project Management. Additionally, you must possess a proven project track record of water-related projects such as water pipelines or structures. High proficiency with computers and relevant software. Superior communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and up and downstream.OUR OFFER
