Project Manager – Government Services Division
Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesPOWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in our Boise, ID office to manage engineering projects in our Government Services FSS Department. The position requires candidates to be US Citizens and may require them to possess a TS/SCI clearance. Candidates not possessing a TS/SCI security clearance may still be considered for hire but would need to agree to undergoing the security clearance process with the appropriate U.S. Government Agency. If approved would be subject to a polygraph test as part of the clearance process.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to provide project management for design projects in the Federal market including mission-critical infrastructure design to include back up power, UPS, critical HVAC design, MEP design, transmission and distribution, power production, system studies, renewable energy, and related projects.
Responsibilities include overarching management of the project and engineering coordination across all POWER Divisions, providing technical guidance and review of all engineering disciplines, and assisting the PM on the project to ensure compliance with the project requirements documents. The PM Position would also provide support and assistance to the FSS PM in fostering and managing client relationships and marketing POWER’s cleared engineering capabilities to existing and new clients. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of successful management of technical engineering services or related projects with demonstrated skills related to electrical and consulting engineering including:
Project engineering and management of technical project teams
Engineering problem solving
Proposal writing and proposal presentations
Understanding of the Federal Client and the Intelligence Community
Understanding of Federal Contracting, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation
Understanding of CPM scheduling
Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills, be willing to travel nationally and internationally and work successfully in a high-paced, customer-focused, project-oriented environment Required Education/ExperienceBS degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical Preferred) or PMP certification from PMI
Three (3) or more years experience managing engineering projects
Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering design development of construction documents
US Citizen with no felony convictions
Desired Education/ExperienceExperience providing project management and project engineering support on federal projects
TS/SCI Clearance
Registered Professional Engineer
Field experience working on a construction site or site-related engineering O&M role
Experience with mission-critical infrastructure projects including system studies, ICS, and SCADA related projects
Experience with project management tools including but not limited, to MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CPM software
Experience with using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation
Experience with marketing, technical writing, and business planning
