Kimley-Horn's San Diego office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join their Land Development team!

Responsibilities Project Management:Lead and manage land development projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.Coordinate with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.Prepare and present project updates and reports to clients and stakeholders.Design and Engineering:Utilize Civil3D software to design and prepare engineering plans, profiles, and details for land development projects.Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.Prepare and review design documents, including grading plans, utility plans, drainage plans, and erosion control plans.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize project designs and achieve project goals.Regulatory Compliance:Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for land development projects.Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning, stormwater management, and environmental requirements.Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure project compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects.Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.Proficiency in using Civil3D software for design and engineering.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to land development.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $170,000
