Responsibilities
Manage the planning and implementation of projects, including taking responsibility for risk management, change management, quality control and cost control.
Master all the different steps of the project life cycle from scoping through to closure.
Capture business benefits and ensure projects deliver against their business cases.
Determine project resource requirements, timelines and likely outcomes based on similar prior project initiatives.
Review and adjust project schedules and budget estimates based on established priorities and available resources.
Collaborate with the Business Units and Subject Matter Experts to ensure that project requirements and objectives are documented and approved to avoid scope creep.
Communicate delays in critical path tasks appropriately and provide/implement risk mitigation strategies and other solutions for on-time project delivery.
Liaise with global counterparts to ensure best practices and global consistency.
Develop migration strategies for the operational processes, including risk mitigation, conversion and recovery plans.
Perform post implementation reviews, including benefits analysis and lessons learned reviews.
Communicate project status and issues to the Project Management Office (PMO) and other stakeholders, including reporting on actual time and cost expenditures against the plan.
Ensure the project teams follow all company policies and procedures including the Project Management Methodology to ensure consistency in project management.
Manage regional projects as agreed with business and technology leaders.
Work in a fast-moving set-up, so expect to pitch in with other responsibilities from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent spoken and written English and Mandarin
A self-starter with initiative, comfortable working remotely and reporting into international governance structures.
Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, presentation and communications skills.
Ability to understand the big picture and scope of assigned projects.
Strong coordination skills and capacity to drive different contributors and stakeholders, with the ability to achieve consensus with all stakeholders when necessary.
Result driven to ensure assigned goals are achieved on time with optimal use of allocated resources.
Ability to proactively determine next steps and break through stalemate situations
Capability to identify project risks and mitigation actions to deliver projects on schedule.
Education and Experience
5 years project management experience.
Experience working with multi-disciplined teams and IT suppliers/vendors.
Experience working with geographically dispersed stakeholders.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred
Experience in the payments industry is beneficial.
Degree qualification is beneficial.
