Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to oversee the completion of internal capital projects ranging from $25k to multimillion-dollar undertakings. The successful candidate will split their time equally between the plant floor and the office, managing projects under the guidance of the engineering manager. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, scoping projects, liaising with vendors, and coordinating with maintenance and manufacturing teams.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare cost estimates, schedules, and performance objectives for capital and expense projects.Guide external resources to accomplish new designs, modifications, or replacement equipment, ensuring compliance with production, environmental, and safety requirements.Prepare RFQs and obtain competitive bids to secure funding for engineering projects.Analyze bids and estimate costs to develop project budgets.Lead internal and external teams in executing project deliverables.Manage and coordinate onsite contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of projects.Collaborate closely with consultants throughout the design, construction, modification, and installation processes.Coordinate with plant maintenance and operations for various project phases.Adapt and implement new procedures and tools to enhance project execution.Essential Skills Needed3+ years of strong project management experience.3+ years of experience in industrial plants, such as chemical, oil, pulp & paper, or steel.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Projects, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.Self-motivated and able to work through bottlenecks and meet deadlines.Additional Skills & Qualifications IdealBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering is preferred.Knowledge of safety and building codes, including OSHA and NAFT.Familiarity with pressure vessels and hydraulics.2 years of project management experience, preferably with timelines, budgets, and MS tools.Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D for design review.Work Environment

The role requires spending 50% of the time on the manufacturing floor, collaborating with various teams and overseeing project progress. The remaining 50% will be office-based, involving tasks such as reviewing drawings, communicating with vendors, and ensuring project milestones are met. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $67000.00/hr.
