Project Manager
Overview SOSi Project Manager to join our team at Camp Humphreys, Korea. The team based out of Hawaii creates network infrastructure designs for USINDOPACOM services. Our designs are secure, reliable, and resilient and support the USINDOPACOMs mission and its 5000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems with architecturally unique solutions that enable USINDOPACOM to realize critical C2 strategies. The team develops systems to ensure that every segment of our enterprise infrastructure is healthy and manageable and is robust enough to connect hundreds of cutting-edge embedded systems theater-wide. Essential Job Duties This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position that demands high standards. As a senior member of the team, you will manage personnel, projects, and IT technical requirements in support of USINDOPACOM, related component commands, mission partners and relevant operational objectives. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Department of Defense (DoD) protocols, procedures, and regulations. The position is expected to regularly interact with senior DoD personnel, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to prepare and deliver executive-level briefings/IPRs to interested parties as required. PRINCIPAL DUTIES Coordinate with multiple personnel within the region whose roles and responsibilities may include but are not limited to, Field Service Engineers, Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Cyber Security Engineers. Interface with WestPac Operations Managers and Engineers within the region for collection, development, and submission of program status updates via a Weekly Activity Report (WAR). Simultaneously manage multiple projects (customer and internal) of varying complexity spanning locations and teams throughout the Pacific Theater. Lead project meetings, technical discussions, and briefings with customers, executive management, internal teams, and other various stakeholders. Develop and maintain project plan and work packages for project milestones at varying classification levels, communicating accomplishments, events, issues, and risks. Evaluate designated activities during Joint and Combined training and exercise events, interoperability workshops, tabletop exercises, and senior leader seminars. Ensure DoD standards and requirements are implemented in support of statement of work. Provide expertise and participate in process refinement and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in special projects as required. Maintain relationships with customers, clients, and program managers. Coordinate and lead technical discussions or information sharing with forums, higher headquarters, other Unified Commands, and subordinate stakeholders, in support of the establishment and achievement of program milestones. Interact with vendors, other agencies, and other USINDOPACOM support staff on behalf of the program. Serve as the Purchase Card holder for regionally based requests and execute the roles and responsibilities of said role in accordance with corporate standards and guidelines. Minimum Requirements Active in-scope Top Secret DoD security clearance with SCI Eligibility and US Passport. Bachelor's degree in a related field OR a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant (e.g., CompTIA Security+ certification) CompTIA Project + certification (or equivalent). Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to elicit, translate, and document system specifications and designs from network and system engineers. Self-starter and fast learner with the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and guidance, accomplishing tasks in a timely manner. Experience providing oversight of large, multi-functional project teams, preferably in an IT environment. Experience planning and managing complex tasks under tight budget and time constraints across multiple regions overseas. Detailed understanding of ITIL change, configuration, and release management processes. Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation v3 or later certification Work Environment Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. Will require additional foreign travel outside of Korea. May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends.
