Job Description
The Project Manager handles all parts of construction projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly and finishes on time. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to juggle many tasks quickly. The Project Manager manages the budget, costs, and procurement of materials while working with contractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams. Attention to detail, excellent communication, and strong decision-making are crucial for success. Being professional and proactive is key to completing projects safely, on time, and within budget.
ResponsibilitiesPlan and manage project operations, including labor, materials, costs, and client relationships.Act as the main point of contact for general contractors, owners, and end users.Handle budgets, purchase orders, subcontracts, invoices, and billings.Prepare and process RFIs, manage change orders, and maintain proper documentation.Procure materials and manage delivery schedules.Attend meetings and coordinate schedules with field teams, vendors, and subcontractors.Support design/build projects with the design team.Maintain strong client relationships and address their needs promptly.Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety guidelines, and contracts.Essential SkillsProject managementRFIElectrical constructionProcurement5 years of experience in a PM role within the electrical construction industryAbility to mentor and oversee a team of 5Construction managementEstimationChange order managementProject coordinationElectrical designProject engineeringElectrical engineeringAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in estimating, cost management, procurement, and schedulingUnderstanding of electrical power and lighting designProficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and BluebeamStrong leadership, self-motivation, and effective communication skillsProblem-solving abilities and finding positive solutionsGood organization and documentation skillsStrong research and analytical skillsHigh school diploma or GED required; degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferredAt least 3 years of experience in the electrical construction industry as a Field Engineer and/or EstimatorWork Environment
The candidate will report five days a week on the project site at Sacramento Railyards, working in a well-equipped trailer. The team includes approximately 12 members, comprising administrative staff, project managers, and supervisors. The project has multiple locations and opportunities for growth. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
