Join Mizuho as a Project Manager - America’s Program Management Office – Governance & Reporting team.
Reporting Line:
The Governance and Reporting team member will be responsible for partnering with Function heads, SMEs, the broader APMO team, and others to develop and execute ongoing project governance, oversight and reporting for the Mizuho Americas change portfolio.
Responsibility:
Key responsibilities include:
+ Coaching and mentoring for project management best practices and alignment with Mizuho Americas program and project management standards, procedures, and templates
+ Providing day to day Governance for Mizuho’s strategic portfolio, ensuring adherence to templates, tools, & procedures for program delivery, change management and key project artifacts
+ Production and / or editing of rigorous weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc status reporting, including tracking of projects and workpackages/milestones responsible to be delivered
+ Ownership of weekly portfolio report on behalf of a function lead – this includes understanding strategy, alignment of projects to strategy, providing feedback or coaching on project structures, gathering weekly status reports and producing final portfolio report
+ Support daily PMO operations – maintenance of document repository, point of contact / SME for Service Now SPM module, identify and implement process improvements
+ Support annual refresh of Standards, Procedures, training materials, and PMO templates
Requirements:
+ Superior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff
+ Experience working in an enterprise PMO or providing PMO support for complicated, strategic initiatives
+ Exceptional stakeholder management skills including experience working across multiple functions, committees, and areas
+ Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision-making skills
+ Continuous process improvement mindset
+ Experience influencing with indirect authority
+ Tolerance and understanding in a multi-cultural environment
The expected base salary ranges from $105k-$150k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
