Project Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced IT Consultant to oversee the implementation of Tyler Technologies’ Permitting and Licensing solution for a public-sector client. This is a long-term contract position based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, offering an excellent opportunity to lead a significant software deployment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT project management and strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Lead the implementation of Tyler Technologies’ Permitting and Licensing solution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project objectives. • Manage project scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables using a structured Waterfall methodology. • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders. • Facilitate knowledge transfer and onboarding processes to ensure team continuity and project success. • Provide regular updates, including risk assessments, to leadership and stakeholders. • Organize and lead project meetings, ensuring follow-ups on action items and milestone tracking. • Oversee compliance with public sector procurement processes and regulatory requirements. • Address challenges assertively to maintain project momentum and achieve desired outcomes. • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to support project goals. • Ensure the project aligns with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager, preferably in IT or software implementation. • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail. • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale software implementations. • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and effectively in a complex stakeholder environment. • Familiarity with public sector compliance processes and procurement. • Preferred experience with Tyler Technologies solutions, particularly Permitting & Licensing. • Experience working with government entities, such as municipalities or counties.
