What You'll Be Doing

Project Leadership: Lead and manage structural engineering projects, ensuring all project phases are executed efficiently and effectively. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve project goals. Team Coordination: Supervise and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations. Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications and ensure client satisfaction. Technical Oversight: Provide technical direction and oversight for project design and analysis, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Review and approve design documents, specifications, and construction plans. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project challenges, leveraging your experience and expertise to develop innovative solutions that enhance project outcomes. Effective Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare and deliver project reports, presentations, and updates as needed. Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure the highest project delivery standards. Conduct regular project reviews and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. In-Person Collaboration: Work primarily in person with a minimum expectation of four days per week in the San Francisco office. Engage directly with the team to collaborate, learn, and contribute to a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Who We’re Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering At least six years of relevant project management experience in structural engineering, demonstrating strong technical and organizational abilities. PE (Professional Engineer) license Proficiency in structural analysis and CAD software, including but not limited to RISA, RAM, ETABS, AutoCAD, and Revit. Comprehensive understanding of seismic design principles and earthquake-resistant engineering practices, including experience in retrofitting existing structures to enhance their resilience. Broad expertise in the use of different construction materials and innovative techniques, with a focus on incorporating sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in design and construction. Expertise in load assessment, structural optimization, and finite element analysis (FEA). Robust abilities in managing engineering projects from inception to completion, supervising construction activities, and performing risk assessments to ensure project safety and compliance with regulations. Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating strong collaboration and interpersonal skills. Ability to think critically and creatively, developing innovative structural solutions to complex problems. A proactive attitude toward teamwork and demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Nice to Haves

Advanced degree in Structural Engineering or Civil/Architectural Engineering with a structures-focused curriculum. Currently holding or actively pursuing a Structural Engineer (SE) license with a clear plan for timely completion.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table. Occasionally, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs. Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections, which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.

Compensation

The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected base salary for a qualified candidate with at least six years of experience is $105,000 - $150,000. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center. During the interview process, we'll provide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.
