How you will make an Impact (Job Summary) 

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the Commercial Project Manager for Engineered Air Movement, you will be responsible for full cycle project management of an assigned territory and representative. You will be responsible to manage and track multiple projects, maintain compliance, and contract conformity to ensure satisfaction of the customer, representative, and internal teams.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities) 

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be: 

 

1. Customer Support and Communication 

Maintain regular communication with major sub-suppliers, Operations team, and internal teams to address issues related to the project, meetings, schedules, and expectations Manage all service tech startup, warranty, quality, or preventative maintenance plan visits Evaluate needs of the customer and provide technical solutions that best fit the Company’s product portfolio Communicate progress pay payments and payments past due status with accounting and rep partner Conduct manufacturing plant visits to troubleshoot for quality improvements, collaborating with peers and the manufacturing plant, to ensure order is completed on time and exceeds customer satisfaction

 

2. Order Processing and Documentation

Manage change orders, claims, negotiate back charges, and customer returns for quality analysis Resolve order problems in a timely and cost-effective manner, meeting the required quality standard, maintaining target margin, and serving as primary contact for company representatives after the project has been released. Review and process warranty/quality claims, investigate root cause, and collaborate with internal team for positive outcomes Initiate and manage vendor purchase orders as needed

 

3. Continuous Improvement 

Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies Provide feedback and insights on customer interactions to improve business practices 

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education) 

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has: 

 

Required Experience  

2-4 years of project scheduling in construction management or related experience SAP or other ERP software experience

 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project Experience in accounting, engineering, construction management, and/or supply change Ability to read engineering drawings Ability to track multiple projects Compliance and contract management knowledge

 

Education & Certifications 

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, accounting, or similar degree
