Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager for the SEMATS Contract, supporting the AF Division.

 

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION:  Eglin AFB, FL

JOB STATUS: Full-Time

TRAVEL: 10-20%

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

High School diploma or equivalent6 years of directly relevant experienceU.S. CitizenshipSecurity ClearanceKnowledge/Experience of/with AF Aircraft and Weapon SystemsProject Management background/experienceAdvanced thinking and problem solving abilityExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsVery good attention to detail and a candidate who takes ownership and pride in all workStrong analytical and organizational skillsAbility to work independently, as well as with a team

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relatable field10+ years of directly relevant experiencePMP or other certificationFamiliarity with engineering practices and processesExperience interacting with external customers/stakeholders for DoD programsAircrew or maintenance experience with the F-15E/EX aircraftFamiliarity with aircraft delivered weapons and their components

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager shall support the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Evaluation of Compatibility and Technical Advisory process by collaborating with external customers and internal stakeholders to accomplish weapon/store compatibility analyses and flight recommendation. This will include the management of budget, schedule, and resources as well as communication with internal and external stakeholders in the SEEK EAGLE process. The work performed will be in direct support to the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Program. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills accustomed to disciplined software development and analysis processes. This position will require collaborative work as part of a larger team. Must be able to work directly with contractor and Government personnel in a mixed badge environment to accomplish the Air Force SEEK EAGLE mission.Participate in airborne weapon systems development, integration, test, and/or evaluationEffectively communicate/brief internal and external SEEK EAGLE stakeholdersManage budget, schedule, and resources to accomplish SEEK EAGLE mission objectives and store certification analyses within established constraintsAssist in the estimation process for future store certification effortsCollaborate with other SEEK EAGLE Project Managers and Government personnel to improve SEEK EAGLE processesTravel is expected to be between 10% and 20%
