Job Summary

The Project Manager at EEEC is an integral member of the project delivery team, who is responsible for the overall delivery of the project, customer acceptance and closure for Process Systems and Solutions (PSS) projects. Leader of multiple projects simultaneously from multiple overseas countries or customers

The Project Manager:

Provides techno-commercial leadership to projects Has good knowledge of the DeltaV system and project execution process. Handles multiple medium to large size projects Develops, Trains and coaches lead engineers on techno-commercial aspects Knowledge sharing within the project team and within EEEC Positive outlook, open to suggest ideas and methods to improve productivity by using innovative ways. Candidate should have worked on Chemical / Pharma / Oil & Gas industry in DCS System Migration projects / Brownfield DCS projects. Knowledge of any competitor DCS systems / PLC preferable.

Coordination with overseas offices – 

to understand and document scope, schedule and budget of work to be done progress monitoring and reporting to the offices, customers, engineering contractors and/or consultants TQ clarifications Weekly meetings

Project Execution – 

Responsible for Project planning, scheduling, cost control, progress reports, quality, and reviews Communicating scope, schedule and budget of work to project team members Allocation and prioritization of work to project team members Monitoring of work allocated to project team members Project performance monitoring and reporting Responsible to achieve business budgeted hours allocated corresponding to EMERSON Offices Conducting customer satisfaction survey on all projects & effecting an action plan Collaborate with concerned EMERSON Offices worldwide

Quality Control & Assurance 

Ensuring compliance to project quality standards by project team Implementation of Quality processes/documentation and ensures they are followed and maintained throughout the project. Participates in project quality engineering audit with internal and external authorities.

Other Duties –

Knowledge sharing within the project team and within EEEC Team Building, open for sharing new and innovative ideas, for better performance. Selection & development of vendors for in-house projects Supporting EMERSON offices for making proposals Identifying training needs, setting up the training plan & developing skill set & general abilities with a view to enable the resources to perform at global standards consistently. Support standards & libraries for global standards (i.e., Project Builder Library) Analyzing and validating time sheets of project resources

Soft skills:

Communication : Understand customer expectations and regional needs, communicate customer expectations, project requirements and plan to the team. Provide regular updates to all stake holders, adjusts to different audiences, can get messages across that have the desired effect, can change tactics midstream when something is not working. Decision Making : Making sound technical decisions on project and ensure that team understands the reasons. Planning & Organising : Planning the work of the team members.Planning the training, up skilling of resources within the team. Sets objective and goals. Leadership : Leading by example and motivating other to get the best results. Is sensitive to and patient with the interpersonal anxities of others, easy to approach and talk to,commit to results. Initiative : Pro-activeness shown in working out alternatives/solutions in existing projects, guiding team members for resolution of issues, proactivness shown in creating new ideas and patterns. Productivity : Setting well defined targets for activities for self and team. Training new resources and improving their productivity without impacting the project budget. Quality : Quality of deliverables as viewed by the collaborators, visible improvement in quality of team members. Ownership : Ability to meet project commitments and proactive approach. Collaboration : Maintaining the team motivation. Relationship with the peers & subordinates. Creates a climate in which people want to do their best, invites input from each person, makes each individual feel their work is important. Dependability & Integrity : Ability to make a commitment regarding resolution of issues, meeting the said commitment and providing timely updates to the management. Is widely trusted, is seen as direct,truthful individual, admits mistakes, doesn’t misrepresent himslef/herself.

Value Creation : Improving quality, schedule or reducing project cost by developing new techniques, using new methods or project execution, ability to generate new and unique ideas and to connect previously unrelated ideas and recognize patterns.
