Project Manager

ASRC Federal Vistronix (ASRC Federal) is seeking a full time Project Manager to join our Denver-based team and provide IT Project Management support for our government customer. This role is a remote position but may require some limited domestic travel. The successful candidate will provide support for the federal PM(s) in the delivery of project management services for assigned projects as identified by the business stakeholders. The candidate will work with close and direct coordination and concurrence of project work activities with the applicable federal PM for the assigned project(s). The ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences is very important.

Key Responsibilities

Manages aspects of planning, requirements, design, development, delivery, and maintenance for many different types of national IT solutions and/or mission applications throughout the system’s lifecycle, for one or more systems. Supports federal project managers on one or more, simultaneous, ongoing and/or proposed projects. Also supports federal project managers when they advise top levels of federal leadership, IT Investment Boards, Senior Executive Service project sponsors, development teams, and key stakeholder groups on the delivery of project objectives. Coordinates with government leadership on plans and priorities. Assists federal project managers to define, estimate, execute, and manage project scope, budgets, and schedules across all assignments. Ensures deliverables are managed to scope, time, and cost constraints. Incorporate frequent feed-back loops to ensure continuous improvement. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and federal departments involved in the projects. Delivers presentations, status reports, and briefings and coordinates decision making and provides conflict resolution. Creates artifacts based on the requirements and needs of individual projects. Provides customer service that establishes clear, documented, and fully understood expectations and effectively manage customer satisfaction and outcomes while negotiating change. Facilitates meetings with subject matter experts from various levels of the business to organize work and priorities. Assists in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer. Participates in enterprise strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products. Documents meetings and provides meeting minutes when requested. Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications: 

5-7 years of related IT work experience including 2-4 years of IT project management experience. BA/BS; an advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or other relevant discipline required may be substituted for three years of required IT work experience. Experience managing software development projects (experience managing projects for the federal government highly desired.) Experience using Application Lifecycle Management tools (Jira/Confluence preferred). Strong technical writing skills with the ability to write and edit documentation clearly and concisely convey meaning to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent verbal communication skills.  Experience facilitating meetings and working with subject matter experts from various levels of the business to organize work and priorities. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

PMP Certification highly desired. Experience managing/working on Agile software project (either as a Project Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Team Member). Agile or Scaled Agile certifications desired. Team player that desires to be part of the process (and not just monitor the process.) Excellent skills organizing and mentoring stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives. Have demonstrated the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives with differing priorities, familiar with project management tools and concepts.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a position of Public Trust clearance.

This position is offering a pay range of $106,500 - $111,500 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
