Job Title: Project Manager Job Description Our client is seeking a mid-level project manager to join their team in the Hampton Roads area. The company is based out of Herndon, VA, but has won multiple projects on the Navy MAAC and recently secured 13 projects that need support. This project manager will work remotely and on-site as needed. A minimum of 5 years as a project manager is required. Experience working on federal bases is a plus but not mandatory. Hard Skills + Plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish + Organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner + Understand project specifications and interpret contract drawings + Ensure all projects are delivered on time, according to requirements, and within budget + Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met + Oversee the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment; ensure worker safety and productivity; ensure the quality of construction + Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports; ensure project documents are complete, current, and properly stored + Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues + Determine needed resources from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations + Identify, track, manage, and resolve project issues + Prepare and submit monthly invoicing and progress reports + Communicate with/direct subcontractors, material suppliers, and field personnel + Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders; review and prepare submittals as necessary Soft Skills + Strong organizational skills + Effective communication abilities + Attention to detail + Problem-solving skills + Ability to work under pressure Work Environment The job site is located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
