Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the technical project streams of new product developments from ideation through execution and life-cycle management. This role involves coordinating the dependencies of embedded software, electronics, sensors, and mechanics to align technical solutions with product management, ensuring that customer needs are met. The ideal candidate will identify best practices by tracking cost, time, and quality of the technical streams, review designs according to requirements, fulfill verification processes, and drive the mitigation of technical risks.
ResponsibilitiesLead technical project streams of new product developments from ideation, execution, and life-cycle management.Coordinate dependencies of embedded software, electronics, sensors, and mechanics.Align technical solutions with product management to meet customer needs.Identify best practices by tracking cost, time, and quality of the technical streams.Review designs according to requirements and fulfill verification processes.Identify risks and drive the technical moderation of mitigation actions.Communicate and collaborate across a range of engineering, marketing, purchasing, and manufacturing disciplines on a global scale.Mentor engineers at various experience levels.Present status reports to senior management and key stakeholders.Essential SkillsPMP CertificationAgile methodologiesBachelor of Science degree in EngineeringMinimum 5+ years of related work/project management experienceExperience overseeing a minimum of 2 projects through the entire life-cycleExperience with electrical, embedded software, mechanical engineeringAdditional Skills & QualificationsProcess Automation experienceBudget tracking and managementProduct managementWork Environment
The position requires working onsite 4 days a week and remotely 1 day a week (excluding Monday). The role offers flexible start times but requires presence onsite from 9 AM to 3 PM. The work environment is a brand new facility with a total of 120 employees, including 21 engineers. The successful candidate will be the first Project Manager on the team.
