Project Manager
POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager to join the Power Delivery department in our Minneapolis, MN office. This position will manage various types of Transmission and Distribution projects.
Disclaimer: The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER-designated office/job site in Texas. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.
Roles and Responsibilities Lead the project planning process including initiation, design, engineering, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out Manage project implementation including project schedule, project budget, and the project resources including external vendors and contractors Serve as the primary project authority for assigned project personnel on major project-related issues Direct project team and lead the project management process Responsible for metrics tracking, associated reporting to stakeholders, and compliance with regulatory, corporate, and department procedures during all the phases of the project Required Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree and industry-related experience from an accredited university preferred – engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline preferred Experience five (5) + years of professional experience in the construction, and/or electric power and communications industry Five (5) + years relevant project management experience Relevant experience includes large-scale project management, and/or project lead engineering experience on large/complex projects Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting Desired Education/Experience A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Five (5)+ years of project management experience Experience in project management controls areaAt POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
