Project Manager

The Guam Project Manager is responsible for the operations of all day-to-day activities associated with transportation services contract in Guam as assigned.  This position will supervise full-time and part-time employees (50-60) comprised of bus drivers, bus aides, safety attendants, and clerks. The Guam Contract Manager reports directly to the Alutiiq Logistics and Maintenance Services, LLC (ALMS) Operations Manager. 

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Responsible for contract performance on behalf of the contractor Manages a team of approximately 50-60 full-time and part-time union personnel to support transportation services for students at three school complexes Arranges for substitutes and unassigned drivers or may drive a bus to cover absences for the purpose of providing adequate coverage to meet the transportation needs of the contract Assesses incidents, complaints and/or accidents for the purpose of resolving or recommending a resolution to the situation. Conducts regular inspections for the purpose of ensuring work quality, performance and production, and assuring that staff performance is meeting established standards and expectations. Coordinates with government personnel for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and/or programs. Oversees Student Transportation Office (STO) personnel (e.g. bus routes, schedule route changes, transportation needs for special education students, etc.) responsible for the purpose of ensuring student transportation to and from schools, athletic and club events and field trips. Monitors budget for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate and funds are maximized. Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions. Performs personnel administrative functions (e.g. hiring, training, supervising, evaluating, providing professional development opportunities, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and ensuring department/program outcomes are achieved. Prepares a variety of materials (e.g. reports, memos, letters, procedures, manuals, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information. Responds to emergencies including after-hours situations for the purpose of addressing immediate safety concerns. Schedules repairs on school buses for the purpose of ensuring that the vehicle is in a safe operating condition. Comply with company-wide safety program, cultivate an active safety culture, and promote quality in performance and customer Service. Perform any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager

Payrate: $65,000 t0 $75,000 Annually
