SummaryThe Project Manager is a key role, leading operations within our Building Inspection Department. This role requires expertise in managing projects related to building inspections, including threshold inspections in compliance with state and local building codes. The ideal candidate will oversee project schedules, ensure quality assurance, coordinate with clients and team members, and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.

This role will be based on the selected job posting locationEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage building inspection projects from inception to completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.Prepare detailed project timelines and ensure adherence to deadlines.Perform or oversee threshold inspections on critical and special structures.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and specifications related to threshold inspections.Maintain thorough documentation of inspections, including detailed reports and corrective action plans.Supervise and mentor inspection personnel, ensuring they adhere to established processes and standards.Provide training and guidance on threshold inspection techniques and regulatory updates.Conduct or oversee regular quality control reviews to ensure inspections meet company and client standards.Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and resolving issues promptly.Deliver detailed inspection reports and project updates to clients and senior management.Ensure all inspections and construction activities comply with local, state, and federal building codes, including ADA and zoning regulations.Enforce safety policies on-site to protect personnel and property.Coordinates project activities and billing with Project Coordinators.Performs other duties as assigned and directed by the Department Manager.Regular attendance is required.Other duties may be assigned.Required Qualifications:Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria), may or may not be required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the roleAbility to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida’s Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification)Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.At least 2 years of experience performing or overseeing threshold inspections.Certified Threshold Inspector (or equivalent certification in applicable jurisdiction).ICC Building Inspector Certification or similar is highly desirable.Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office productsPE or EI license.Experience with special inspections and materials testing.Familiarity with Smartsheet, Procore, or similar project management tools.Combination of office work and field visits to inspection sites.Must be comfortable working outdoors and at heights when necessary.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in AEC firm is preferred.Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes.Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and in a team environmentDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiencyWho We Are:   UES provides essential engineering services for some of the most prominent and significant projects in the nation.
