Job Summary
Trane has an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Project Manager. You will manage all aspects of construction projects, from beginning to end, with direct responsibility for project execution while leading a team, or teams, to accomplish specific objectives in a given time frame and with available resources. You will also be responsible for the administration, implementation, and management of complex projects and accountable for assigned project’s scope of work, schedule, and budget. Responsibilities:
Plan and analyze assigned projects, establish schedules and project parameters, and set procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving complex controls contracting applications. Communicate with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, subcontractors, and field support staff. Examine and review contracts and estimates by performing risk analysis and developing risk plans with Contracting Manager. Collaborate with Contracting Manager to establish an operations budget for assigned projects by revising the original estimate based on validated project scope. Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion and controlling expenses by monitoring assigned project budget. Assist in creating and revising project schedules including generating tasks, estimates, dependencies, milestones, etc. Subcontractor management, including issuing subcontracts, reviewing scope statements, plans and milestone dates, specifications, subcontractor qualifications, bonding requirements, and billing schedule of values. Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals; supervise assigned staff and subcontractors. Manage technician workload and schedules, review plans, update progress, and prioritizes tasks. Meet with contractors and owners to discuss scope of project, budgets, performance, and close-out. Responsible for project cash-flow management, including forecasting, progress billings, collections support and monitoring, and resource management.Responsible for change order management by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes and closing orders. Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff. Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms. During the site visits, the employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions; moving mechanical parts; heights, and other variable environmental conditions based on location.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Construction Management, OR Business Administration with a minimum of three (3) years of HVAC, Controls, OR Construction project management experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Construction project management experience with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously on time and on budget is preferred.Strong experience in resource / manpower planning and team leadership of multiple technicians & engineers is preferred.Must have strong financial and business acumen.Experience working directly with building owners and contractors, and a strong ability to communicate verbally and through written communication. Must be able to travel locally within state. Some overnight stay may be required. Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:DUI in the previous 5 years; Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.Thrive at work and at home:

Where is the work:
This position has been designated as Remote and work will be performed within West Michigan territory / Trane's Grand Rapids, MI office.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $62,000 - $109,950. Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.
Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
