Team overview and job responsibilities
The Projects Division of Prysmian Group is looking for a Project Manager based in Milano, in the HQ of the Company. He/she will report directly to the Regional Projects Director, and will be part of the Offshore Wind Farm Region. The candidate will be assigned to both supply only and EPCI projects delivered to our Customers, more specifically the main Developers of Offshore wind farm including both Export and Inter Array cables.
Key duties and responsibilities:
The PM is the main interface with the Customer and Customer Project Team. He/she has the responsibility to initiate, plan, execute, finalise and monitor & control the project in accordance with the customer’s contractual terms and specification, within the agreed timescales and budget, this includes coordinating the project team as well as any third-party contractors or consultants. PM is also responsible for defining clear project objectives, building the project requirements and managing the constraints in terms of costs, time, scope and quality. The ideal candidate will:
• Manage all project activities and retains the final responsibility for the execution of the Project. Represents the Company towards the Customer and resolves all issues related to the implementation of the Project activities
• Direct and manage all aspects of multi-discipline projects from initiation through completion
• Define and control baseline scope, programme and allowances in line with the change management procedures
• Progress the Project activities in close coordination with the engineering and installation disciplines
• Establish a budget; monitor the costs against the budget, manage claim and variations to achieve CM targets
• Ensure the correct allocation of the resources necessary for carrying on and completing the project
Key requirements
• Approximately 5-7 years of professional experience as a Project Manager within the oil & gas, energy sector of a multinational company
• Previous work experience with EPCI projects
• Master’s Degree in Engineering or similar related Degrees with a PMP certification
• Fluency in English
• Strong negotiation skills, team working abilities and excellent leadership and influencing skills
• Attitude to deeply understand the scope and technical aspects of the project together with the traditional PM skills
• Flexible mindset and able to work in a very dynamic context
• Good communication skills
• Very strong analytical skills
• Specific knowledge of submarine cable and offshore operations are a plus
