About the Opportunity

Amentum has worked for many years supporting the UK Ministry of Defence in providing Project Management and technical engineering services to the extensive MoD estate. This includes infrastructure projects supporting capabilities across all services and the Nuclear environment.  Specifically Amentum gives support across all RIBA stages and includes work ongoing in the maritime area including Portsmouth, Devonport and at Faslane.

The role is for delivery as part of that maritime team and could be undertaken by a Project Manager with engineering experience or an engineer with commercial understanding, stakeholder management skills and experience working with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.

You will have a opportunity to be part of a team which supports maritime infrastructure for the MOD where there is expected to be considerable growth over the next two decades

The role is a direct report to the Senior Project Manager on a critical maritime infrastructure project based in the South West.  The role will encompass the duties of a NEC3 Supervisor to ensure that the Contractor’s work meets the Works Information. Such duties include the notification of defects, witnessing inspections, attending meetings and producing reports as required. Responsibilities include keeping of good site records, site stakeholder management, liaison with the Project Manager and Technical Lead, document reviews and other such duties required of the Supervisor. The ability of the candidate to drive behaviours and operate collaboratively and support project delivery should be seen as of equal importance to delivery of the scope of work.

We’ll inspire and empower you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed – today and into tomorrow.  We offer an exciting range of opportunities to develop your career within a supportive and diverse team who always strive to do the right thing for our people, clients and communities.

People are our greatest asset, and we offer a competitive package to retain and attract the best talent. In addition to the benefits you’d expect, UK employees also receive free single medical cover and digital GP service, family-friendly benefits such as enhanced parental leave pay and free membership of employee assistance and parental programmes, plus reimbursement towards relevant professional development and memberships. We also give back to our communities through our Collectively program which incorporates matched-funding, paid volunteering time and charitable donations.

Work-life balance and flexibility is a key focus area for us. We’re happy to discuss hybrid, part-time and flexible working hours, patterns and locations to suit you and our business.
