Job Description
The Project Manager will coordinate project tasks and engineering milestones to ensure deadlines are met within the agreed time frame and budget. You will manage project tasks for development projects (new orders, new contracts), not the build-to-print, contract manufacturing side of the business. You will lead and coordinate the technical scope with software engineers, firmware engineers, and electrical engineers. You will ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget, adhering to the company's quality standards and procedures. Additionally, you will partner with engineers to discuss and make decisions on design and engineering choices for profitability and scheduled timelines. You will manage communication between subcontractors, internal partners, and customers.

The work environment is a small site with office space, assembly, and lab areas located in a modest office building within a small business park, alongside Maxar Technologies. The company is a space avionics and sensor systems firm with a customer base in commercial, space, and defense markets, founded in Pasadena, California, in 2001. The work revolves around the total success of missions, involving the development, manufacture, and testing of video systems integrated into satellites, rockets, and spacecrafts, control systems for experiments and payloads, data management equipment, as well as sequencing systems for timing, control, and capture of spacecraft ejection telemetry. The company has played a key role in major space missions, from the Space Shuttle and International Space Station to NASA's Artemis program, with over 150 successful missions.
