SummaryThe Project Manager is a key role, leading operations within our Environmental Department, to lead and manage environmental projects with a focus on soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical writing skills and field experience in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and demonstrate expertise in regulatory compliance and client communication.

This role will be based on the selected job posting locationEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage environmental assessment projects, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budgetPerform soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling in compliance with established safety protocolsPrepare detailed reports, including Phase I and II ESA documentation, sampling plans, and remediation strategiesEnsure all projects align with federal, state, and local regulations such as CERCLA, RCRA, and ASTM standardsServe as the main client contact, providing updates, addressing concerns, and delivering project findingsTrain and supervise field staff, ensuring compliance with project requirements and safety standardsCoordinate asbestos inspections and evaluate hazardous material risksCreate and update proposals, cost estimates, and invoices while managing budgets and schedulesAnalyze reports, maps, blueprints, and test results to inform project design and executionIdentify and resolve challenges during the project lifecycle to ensure successful outcomesOrganize and track client-provided documents and files for operational efficiencyAddress client inquiries, handle typing and billing requests, and follow safety protocolsOther duties may be assignedRequired Qualifications:Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria), may or may not be required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the roleAbility to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida’s Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification)Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related fieldHazwoper 40-Hour Certification Asbestos Inspector Certification At least 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related fieldProven experience with Phase I and Phase II ESA technical writing and implementationExpertise in soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling methodologiesProficient in environmental regulations and standardsStrong project management and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProficient understanding of Microsoft Office productsFamiliarity with Smartsheet, Procore, or similar project management toolsCombination of office work and field visits to inspection sitesMust be comfortable working outdoors and at heights when necessaryTravel required to project sitesPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in AEC firm is preferredFamiliarity with GIS or environmental modeling softwareExperience with remediation technologiesExcellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiencyWho We Are:   UES provides essential engineering services for some of the most prominent and significant projects in the nation.
