Job Description The project manager is the overall accountable to the successfulplanning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of a project that
is assigned to him/her.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in strategic analysis and initial proposal process for complex and/or large scale information technology projects.
Handles multiple and complex projects both internal and external.
Define and review the requirements by to ensure that the customer (internal or external) receives the system that he or she wants and needs.
Initiate and plan the project by establishing its format, direction, and base lines that allow for any variance measurements and change control.
Organizes and manages all phases of projects to ensure satisfactory and timely completion of deliverables and overall project.
Develops project plans including goals, scope, budget, deliverables, resources needed, schedules, timelines, methods for measuring results, security and risk assessment.
Partner with the end users, work with project sponsors and other management to establish progress and direction of the project by achieving goals, reaching targets, solving problems, mitigating risks.
Manage the requirements, people, and change in order to achieve goals, reach targets, and deliver the project on time and within a dictated project budget.
Manage the project staff by creating an environment conducive to the delivery of the new application in the most cost-effective manner.
Be able to manage uncertainty, rapid change, ambiguity, surprises, and a less defined environment.
Manage the client relationship by using an adequate direct yet complete and formal reporting format that compliments a respected and productive relationship.
Drive the project by leading by example, and motivating all concerned until the project accomplishes its goal.
Assembles, coordinates and directs project team members; assigns individual responsibilities. Monitors team member performance and acts as overall project direction resource.
Coordinates procurement and contracting activities for assigned projects including development of requests for proposals, analysis of bids, and contract awards.
Tracks and reviews vendor performance. May review and approve vendor payment requests. Reviews and responds to changes in project scope, resources or required deliverables.
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years experience in handling multiple, end to end, project implementation
Experience using best practices and standardized processes such as PMI (PMBOK), Six Sigma, Scrum, Agile
Familiar with product development life cycle
IT, Telco industry experience
Service Provide/Systems Integrator work experience
Any 4-year Bachelor's Degree on IT or equivalent
Desired Certification: PMP
Desired Training: Project Management, ITIL, Scrum, Agile, Six Sigma
