Job Title: Project Manager - New Generation Services (NGS)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team and manage New Generation Services (NGS) projects from conceptual stages through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, performance testing, initial operations, and prime contract close-out. The ideal candidate will provide leadership for the development and maintenance of a high-performance project team and ensure that projects are delivered within contract requirements, standards of quality and safety, and to customer and internal performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a single project or work as the Deputy Project Manager, with responsibility for the project team and delivery of project outcomes.Facilitate communication of project health and status with project teams, stakeholders, sponsors, customer representatives, and high-level management.Capture and document all lessons learned or after-action review comments and provide summary briefings as necessary.Prepare and participate in risk, issue, and opportunity identification through detailed analysis of project contracts.Develop the project baseline income statement with assistance from estimating and cost control groups.Oversee the development of an integrated project schedule, including critical path for end-to-end tasks and activities.Ensure assigned resources are executing as planned and provide tracking and reporting to plan.Expand current work scope, develop change order technical and pricing strategies, and prepare change order execution strategies/plans.Lead and direct all phases of assigned projects by utilizing program and project methodologies, systems, tools, and quality standards.Monitor, track, and control change to the projects through formal change control management.Perform additional tasks or assignments as required and provide suggestions to improve the execution of NGS projects.Continuously seek to expand and improve personal knowledge in project management best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering or a similar technical field from a four-year college or university.4-6 years of related experience in managing large power generation projects.Strong project management skills, including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.Experience with power generation, power plants, gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSG, and combined cycle projects.Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to monitor all project activity, including schedules and spending, to ensure timely and quality completion of assigned NGS projects.Ability to establish alliances with other departments and organizations and develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.Experience in facilitating project status meetings and preparing and distributing meeting minutes.Ability to review subcontractor and vendor invoices and negotiate changes as necessary.Experience in preparing and submitting change orders and project close-out documentation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $145000.00 - $170000.00
