Project Manager

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of project, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and goals of the organization. Responsibilities Major Job Activities: Establishes policies and procedures for performance and control of all project business management functions and technical support. Ensures that quality standards are applied to all levels of the work and measured for effectiveness. Directs and approves contract modifications, approves budgets, monitors contractual performance and costs, and takes action to correct discrepant conditions Monitors the performance of department, branch, and section managers/supervisors and the submissions of required reports and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL). Plan and implement projects Help define project scope, goals and deliverables Define tasks and required resources Collect and manage project team Manage budget Allocate project resources Create schedule and project timeline Track deliverables Support and direct team Monitor and report on project progress Present to stakeholders reports on progress, problems and solutions Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs Evaluate and assess result of project Directs and approves contract modifications, approves budgets, monitors contractual performance and costs, and takes action to correct discrepant conditions. Performs other duties and assignments as required Qualifications Education / Certifications: Two years related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Bachelor’s Degree required. Project Management qualification (PMP) or equivalent Security: Must be able to successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug test. Must be able to successfully maintain a security secret clearance or obtain approval. Experience: Five (5) years of experience in managing a workforce providing services and have working knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical systems. Theoretical and practical Project Management knowledge Knowledge of techniques and tools Experience as a Project Manager Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management Skills: Proficiency in Project Management software tools Ability to work with a diverse workforce from around the globe Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Critical thinking and problem solving Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities Contract negotiation Conflict resolution experience Adaptability Able to tolerate stress Supervisory/Budget Responsibilities: Project Manager will supervise management staff and oversee overall program success. Project Manager will be responsible for the oversight and maintenance of the program budget.
