We are a general contracting firm that is looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Kern County. Seeking someone with at least 5 years of public works experience as a project manager. If you have budgeting, scheduling, project management, education market and bidding experience, we want to talk to you!What You Will Be Doing- Oversee the prompt start and finish of building projects at predetermined quality standards, within predetermined budgets, and at a predefined profit
- Oversee the creation, oversight, and revision of the project schedule
- After being assigned to a project, the project superintendent will draft and revise the project schedule. The schedule will be made by the project manager if no superintendent has been assigned
- Keep an eye on and control project quality
- Track, maximize, and document project expenses
- Control cost and/or time adjustments
- Track, encourage, and document advancements
- Assemble the bid packages
- Evaluate offers and draft related subcontracts
- Examine and accept payment requests
-Examine and accept each project-related invoice
- Help resolve design disagreements, mistakes, and omissions in a timely manner
- Organize resources for building
- Work with the project supervisor to schedule a progress meeting
- Aid in the creation and delivery of proposals
- Manage design and engineering if it falls within the project's scope
- Create and update project budget estimates if they fall within the project's scope
- Define and create project bid packages if they fall within the project's scope
- Encourage goodwill among the company's clients, staff, suppliers, subcontractors, and the community
- Finish the project to the client's satisfaction, on schedule, within the allocated budget, and in compliance with the quality requirementsWhat You Need for this Position- At least 5 years of public works experience
