Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Project Manager to be based in Boston, MA. The Project Manager will work and collaborate with team members throughout the country for specific project sector needs.
The Project Manager will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of overseeing one or more less complex projects. These projects may involve clients with a small or local geographic footprint, or they may be limited to services provided by a local office.
It is imperative that the Project Manager consistently identifies potential project problems or opportunities in a proactive manner. This requires a keen analytical mind to thoroughly examine issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimal approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities within their area of responsibility.
The role demands sound, well-informed, and objective decision-making skills relating to assigned projects. The Project Manager must possess a strong understanding of the impact and implications of their decisions, as these can significantly affect project outcomes and client satisfaction.
Effective management of project resources is a crucial aspect of this position. The Project Manager will be responsible for allocating and overseeing human, financial, and material resources to ensure project success and efficiency.
While the Project Manager will generally work under the supervision of a PPM leadership, they are expected to demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and initiative in their day-to-day responsibilities. This position may also involve managing certain phases of projects, requiring a comprehensive understanding of project lifecycles and the ability to seamlessly integrate their work with that of other project leaders.
