Project Manager

The Opportunity:

As a Project Manager you will work as part of a shared services technology team that supports the Product Manufacturing and Sales Distribution business areas of MassMutual.  In this role, as well as all roles within MassMutual, you will demonstrate accountability, agility, a dedication to be inclusive, a strong business acumen, and will show courage, even in the most difficult situations. The Team:

The Distribution Management Support Team, as part of the larger Sales and Distribution Technology organization, is comprised of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and Quality Analysts. The team is customer-focused & consultative.  We maintain integral relationships with a large variety of business partners to manage the build of efficient and effective technical solutions for the MMUS Advisor Operations and Product business partners with a focus on advisor data management and compensation.

What your days and weeks will look like.

Lead project teams during all phases of the development life cycle including requirements gathering and analysis, design, build, pilot, implementation and continuous serviceDevelop project plans, manage, monitor and report on all project tasks, activities, expectations, controls and deliverablesHelp with requirement development and technical translation with the teamWork with architects, developers, and others to plan, develop technical scope of work, and manage the execution of projects/product changes in response to requirements from stakeholdersEngage with all levels across the enterprise managing relationships and expectationsManage and driving program/ project execution on time and on budgetIdentify, understand, and work to mitigate issues and risks proactively with the project team, business partners, and leadershipBe self-supportive in collaborating with peers to effectively deliver a robust solution for the businessServe as a conduit of knowledge between functional and technical teamsManage budget, timeline, and scope for the platform teamsAssist in developing processes and best practices for the teamMotivate teams to work together, communicate, and deliverNavigate ambiguity to deliver results

The Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree3+ years managing and driving the execution of medium to complex projects

The Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrate capability to be disciplined and flexible at the same timeExperience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologiesExperience with managing vendor/consultant integration/interaction Knowledge of Insurance policy processing and Producer/Advisor CompensationExperience with project management tools and techniques, such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Scrum and KanbanExcellent interpersonal communication, conflict management, coordination, and planning skills with cross-functional teamsSkilled in applying judgment to balance process compliance with achievement of business objectivesProject leadership experience focused on engaging others in the delivery and execution of technical solutions and service deliverablesAbility to assess a project's scope and the team's ability to executeOutcome oriented with the ability to drill down from the big picture to process detailsAbility to communicate objectives, plans, status, and results clearlyStrong leadership skills and influencerAbility to collaborate across diverse teams and organizationsStrong organizational skills and detail orientedSolid grasp of software technologies and stacksPM Certification (PMP and/or Agile Scrum Master) preferred

Salary Range: $102,500.00-$134,500.00
