Job Summary
This position will report to the Director Sales and will be responsible for the end to end delivery of the project to the customer.
Responsibilities
Execute the New Product Development Process
Manage the project through the requirements of the New Product Development phase-gate process. Accountable to the Project Decision Board for proper execution of new product development processes in all areas of the project. Accountable to the Project Decision Board that project deliveries meet established quality criteria. Make project reports to various stakeholders in the organization.
Plan the Project
Establish plans for how the project will manage scope, time, communications, budget, quality, stakeholders, human resources, risk, and procurements. Develop and maintain detailed schedules, budgets, scope statements, WBSs, etc., in support of the proper management of the project. Establish targets for each of the critical performance areas for the project.
Lead the Project
Form and develop a project team that has the competencies and capacity to deliver the project outputs Use contracted employees and consultants as needed. Organize and manage the communications and information flow within the project. Manage internal and external stakeholders in support of the project. Provide coaching to project team members. Evaluate the performance of project team member. Make decisions to move the project forward or to resolve challenges. Resolve conflicts that may arise. Improve the organization through creating best practices and lessons learned. Escalate issues as needed.
Manage Risk
Identify and evaluate risks to project success. Develop plans to address risks and reduce the level risk level throughout the project.
Make the Project a Success
Ensure that the project delivers within targets for timing, budget, scope, quality, and business benefit. Add a level of enthusiasm and creativity to the project.Basic Qualifications Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required
