JLL seeks a skilled Project Manager to support our Calgary and Western Canada team. This role will lead day-to-day management of major capital projects in public and private sectors and across diverse portfolios.

We're looking for a professional with strong communication skills and business acumen to interact directly with clients. The ideal candidate will be accomplished in project delivery, demonstrating the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. As well, the ideal candidate will be have demonstrated versatility in handling projects from office renovations to more diverse buildings in such as municipal, Industrial, manufacturing and more.

This important client-facing position requires situational awareness, diplomacy, and the confidence to liaise with various professionals. The successful candidate will bring energy and passion to our dynamic industry.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Project Management

Ensuring projects are completed within scope, schedule, budget, and meeting client expectations.Managing multiple projects in various phases of development.Negotiating and holding all parties accountable to their contracts.Managing and coordinating the activities of large project teams including owners, regional and local design consultants, contractors, suppliers, AHJs, security, AV and IT vendors, operators, and other stakeholders.Coordinating between base building and tenant improvement scope and negotiating with landlords.Developing, implementing and maintaining specified project management processes.Proactively communicating with your client; maintaining project status and tracking reports.Detailed financial and schedule management and reporting.Utilizing a custom project management platform/technology.Leading project meetings: ensuring minutes are quickly distributed and properly filed.Proactively foreseeing and documenting project risks and risk mitigation plans.Actively troubleshooting, problem solving and tracking project performance indicators.Managing JLL’s financial performance per project.

Relationship Management

Fostering a project environment of accountability, excellence, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation.Energizing, supervising, mentoring, and supporting others on your teamCultivating new and existing business relationshipsCollaborating with JLL peers, partners and clientsBuilding trust with owners, landlords, developers, institutions, consultants, and contractors.

Leading pursuit strategy, sourcing, positioning, proposing, and securing of new projects.Strategically networking and positioning JLL as a leader in project management services.

WHAT YOU BRING :

Mandatory Criteria

5+ years of local experience pursuing and delivering capital “buildings” projects, including new construction, renovations, fit-outs, and/or upgrades.Degree in Construction/Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or similar educationPossess “Owner Representative” project management experience working directly for a Client in a fee-for-service consulting business environment.Local Calgary/Canada work experienceCorporate Office Tenant Improvement project experienceLed major capital projects of $2M+ from inception to completion without supervisionBudgeting, estimating, cost control experienceExperience with MS Project or other scheduling softwareSkilled at MS Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Expert verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills; articulate, responsive, and highly organized.Demonstrated client relationship management skillsStrong analytical skills and solution developmentOutstanding organizational and time management skillsAttention to detail and ability to drive consistency in a team or on a projectAbility to excel in a fast-paced and demanding environmentFlexibility with work hours and travel as needed

Preferred Attributes

Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, or ability to obtain in near future based on education and work experienceSustainability designation such as LEED, CSP, ENV SP is an asset.P.Eng. or similar professional designation
