Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join our team and support our wall systems projects, including noise walls, retaining walls, and specialty custom wall systems. In this role, you will review precast and steel shop drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with contract requirements, create and maintain project schedules, and utilize internal software programs to track orders and manage project data. You will also generate item codes, complete change orders, estimates, and RFIs, and engage in client-facing activities to maintain strong client relationships. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to large projects and take on diverse responsibilities within a smaller firm environment.
ResponsibilitiesReview precast and steel shop drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with contract requirements.Create and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.Utilize internal software programs to track orders and manage project data.Generate item codes based on orders received within the system.Prepare and process change orders, cost estimates, and Requests for Information (RFIs).Meet with clients to ensure their needs are accurately being met and maintain strong client relationships.Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, primarily focusing on retaining walls, sound walls, wall systems, and barriers.Essential SkillsProject management experienceConstruction management experienceExperience in precast constructionAbility to critically think and analyze project requirementsAbility to review and understand drawings, specifications, and blueprintsStrong organizational skills to support multiple projects at onceBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or Construction Management (accepted)Additional Skills & QualificationsSome direct experience supporting IL Tollway contracts, heavy civil work, drainage, or precast (internships would be a plus)Interest in supporting heavy civil work, IL Tollway projects, or precast knowledgeNew graduates with a civil engineering degree aiming to become a project managerWork Environment
Our office has a 'work hard, play hard' atmosphere. The team enjoys team-building events like Top Golf and lunches together when schedules allow. Our office is connected to the production site, creating a tight-knit, family-like environment. Most of our team members have started their careers here and continue to stay with us, with an average tenure of around 8-10 years. There are about 20 people in our office.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $35.58
