Kratos is looking for a Project/Program Manager to support various technical projects and programs. This Project Management position is an exciting opportunity based in San Antonio, TX that encompasses dimensions of Project Management and leadership with knowledge of Systems Development, Engineering, and Integration. The successful candidate will work directly with the Kratos Space Federal team, including engineering, finance, program management, and business development. Our project managers collaborate with our functional managers to develop long term visions in strategic business pursuits, successfully create solutions for executing programs, and expand our business pipeline by listening and responding to current and potential customer needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: + Lead highly technical engineering teams developing various ground based SATCOM equipment + Manage project technical and business baselines, tracking and estimating budgets and technical progress + Working with your System Engineer and Sustainment leads to provide advice to our customers on potential solutions + Leading team’s program increments and tasks planning + Reviews CDRLs, white papers and other products prior to delivery to customer + Collaborate with functional/resource managers to allocate staff resources and identify resource needs + Properly manage proprietary and sensitive information and activities + Interface directly with customers to ensure project requirements are met and ensure that our performance exceeds customer expectations. + Interface directly with operational customer during operational synchronizations, requirements discussion, trouble calls as needed – liaison between program office and operations + Manage sub-contractors and vendors, as applicable + Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level + Report on project financial and technical performance to senior management + Interfaces with customer security team for SCI and SAP nomination and process – providing justification and/or facilitating courtesy indocs + Serves as administrator for team’s deployment in Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) system + Support follow-on contract actions and activities + Prep for contract recompete + Shape acquisition approach through capture activities (teaming opportunities, requirements reviews, long term USG cyber strategy) + Provide information on adjacent markets for future growth + Engage with government and industry to determine new opportunities and support development of capture strategies + Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings (est 20%) + Be a strong team player to the project team and to the organization Required to have at least a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an SCI Required Experience: + Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or a STEM degree) and at least 5 years relevant work or 8 years operational experience (willing to consider a range of work and educational levels) + Willingness to learn, take ownership, and deliver high-quality results in an unstructured environment + Prior experience in Project Management or Technical Leadership roles. + Direct experience with Government space acquisition processes and programs. + Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems, satellite command and control, RF systems, and system development processes. + Generating and effectively managing EACs + Support, build, track, and status project/program schedules + Track and status project/program budget and execution + Experience in leading a technical team comprised of a diverse group of engineers across multiple disciplines + Present programmatic information to team members, management and customers as appropriate + A self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced execution environment, with small and large engineering project teams (an absolute must) + Excellent written and oral communications skills + Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
