Purpose\:
The Project Manager position is a full-time on-site position based in Toledo, OH in a refinery/ plant environment in the refinery’s Capital Projects group. The project duration is anticipated to be ~1.5 years with the possibility of extension. The project manager will report to a Lead Project Manager onsite. At the Lead Project Manager's direction, the Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, control and completion of specific projects. They should be self-sufficient and able to manage work with little oversight. The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to deliver projects with minimal supervision that meet all safety, cost, schedule, and business goals through application of project management procedures while ensuring predictable results.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to\:
Project Execution Lead the execution of assigned projects to meet all defined goals. Coordinate daily activities engineering and material procurement efforts. Coordinate field construction efforts with Construction Manager. Work with all departments across the business unit including operations, process and turnaround organizations. Act with minimal direction in managing assigned projects. Project Control Manage project scope control including change orders, change logs, and coordinate their review and approval with Lead PM. Manage project schedule control including development of schedules, coordination with refinery, vendors, and contractors. Communicate issues to lead PM. Manage project cost control including budget and estimate development, cash flow, and cost reporting including monthly/yearly spending projections. Monitor project risks and opportunities including development of risk register and mitigation planning. Communicate issues to lead PM. Monitor and report on progress of projects to Lead PM, key stakeholders, and project sponsors. Prepare and present reports defining project status/progress, risks and opportunities. Facilitate communication among refinery departments on issues during all project phases. Assure technical quality of all work performed on assigned projects. Assure compliance to a broad range of industry codes, standards, and governmental regulations. Project Completion Coordinate input of the refinery QA/QC groups including local and corporate inspection departments. Ensure completion/updates of all records, drawings, procedures, and turnover is complete through the management of change process. Perform project evaluations, lessons learned, and assessment of results.
