Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to ensure timely and within-budget completion of assigned projects. The ideal candidate will manage resources, maintain communication, oversee schedules, and resolve production obstacles. This role demands strong leadership, effective communication, and adherence to safety and environmental policies.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure project completion on time and within budget.
+ Initiate project resources and delegate tasks to lower-level production and support personnel.
+ Manage production resources and daily activities assigned to the project.
+ Initiate and maintain internal and external communication with all levels of employees.
+ Provide status reports and follow up on assignments.
+ Oversee schedule updates and monitor progress toward goals, objectives, and deadlines.
+ Incorporate changes to schedule or assignments as needed.
+ Manage production progress and resolve production obstacles.
+ Identify potential changes required to meet the scope of the project.
+ Establish effective project communication plans and ensure project execution.
+ Participate in cross-functional meetings with the project team and provide project status updates.
+ Assist in defining project goals and objectives.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies and procedures.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a team effort.
+ Identify training needs and provide or coordinate employee training and technical leadership.
+ Demonstrate punctuality, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, accept constructive feedback, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment.
+ Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or needed.
Essential Skills
+ Project management experience
+ Experience in shipyard or ship repair
+ Budgeting and scheduling skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Engineering experience preferred, but not required
+ Operations experience preferred
Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, involving cross-functional teams and members of management. The role requires adherence to safety and environmental policies and may involve providing technical leadership and training to employees.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
