Project Manager
Job Title: Energy Project ManagerJob Description As an Energy Project Manager, you will lead the project management team responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the completion of all activities for the engineering, design, procurement, and construction of major capital projects and programs. You will manage high complexity projects and/or programs and serve as the primary point of contact with clients, ensuring effective communication and adherence to safety, health, and environmental programs throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities + Lead the project management team responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the completion of all activities for major capital projects and programs. + Manage high complexity projects and/or programs. + Coordinate with all applicable stakeholders to ensure communication is established and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. + Serve as the primary point of contact with clients regarding projects. + Facilitate the implementation of safety and health programs with project teams and promote safe work practices. + Facilitate the implementation of environmental programs with project teams focusing on environmental protection in accordance with company policy and government regulations. + Commit to a client-centric culture to foster trust and confidence among clients and improve value for all stakeholders. + Conduct technical reviews of specifications, drawings, contracts, addenda, and other construction documents to ensure constructability with client standards and specifications. + Conduct and direct project planning and status meetings to ensure schedule and financial adherence to projects. + Provide schedule updates of the engineering, construction, and budget status of each project to the appropriate management teams. + Oversee and coordinate construction package reviews, pre-award meetings, field visits, and pre-award project site walk-downs. + Serve as the single point of contact for Construction on submittals, reviews, and coordination of required project information and documents. + Ensure necessary outages are identified, submitted, and communicated in a timely manner to avoid schedule interruptions and conflicts with other projects. + Ensure required permits are obtained for all fieldwork and required approvals are secured from applicable parties. + Mentor and/or train Project Managers and Project Coordinators as needed. + Assist Portfolio Managers with the coordination, preparation, and reporting of significant activities on construction projects and programs. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant experience in utility project management. + 4-10+ years of experience in project management, project controls, or a related field with at least five years in project management. + Electric utility knowledge preferred. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Effective leadership and organizational skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + PMP certification preferred. Work Environment This is a remote position with some travel (10%) to worksites required. Hotel and mileage can be expensed. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $76.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
