What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict timelines and within budget. While the prime requirement is project management expertise, having an understanding of capital markets operations will be considered an asset.
The role operates within the Portfolio & Change Management (PCM) group and will function primarily as a Project Manager (PM) on various initiatives across the Business & Client Services (BCS) department where various project drivers include: Business or process improvements, technology enhancement or system implementations, operational risk reduction, quality improvement, regulatory soundness, cost reduction, etc.
The incumbent will work directly with relevant participants to define project parameters, success criteria, solutions, and timelines while deploying best practices in project management, project planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication
What will you do?
Develop project plans and timelines including definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.Determine and define project roles and responsibilities including management of project team members and motivate them to meet objectives.Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders including facilitation communication between project stakeholders and team members.Regularly report project progress to management and clients.Ensure resource availability and allocation.Identify, analyze, and manage project risks development risk mitigation strategies.Track project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.Perform change management and ensure changes are well documented.Build strong, long-term relationships throughout the RBC organization.Constantly seek to improve own capacity, skills and expertise.What you need to succeed?
Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience2-4 yrs of Project Management ExperienceSelf-motivated, able to work independently and within a teamAbility to prioritize, plan and execute work to meet tight deadlinesStrong analytical skills - Ability to identify issues and suggest solutionsGood working knowledge of Capital Markets organizational structure (front office sales and trading, middle office, product control, BCS, regulatory/compliance, etc.) and its operational functions and processes.Capable of building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders across the enterpriseProvide concise and effective updates to the Associate Director and Director, Portfolio Change Management, as well as to the Program Manager where applicableWhat’s in it for you?
