About the Role

In our Customer Fulfillment Centers (CFCs), together with our proprietary software applications, we run a top-tier online grocery business that automates the picking of products in preparation for delivery. As a Project Manager, you will support a range of projects, from leading the end-to-end construction of a CFC for a client to collaborating on new, innovative solutions or technology projects across our expanding network of sites. You may also work with various project teams to develop central process improvements and implement exciting new initiatives throughout our global portfolio.

The Project Manager role is part of our Program Management function, where you will take full ownership and accountability for large-scale, end-to-end projects, supporting both our retail partners and internal project delivery teams. You will lead the projects you are assigned to and be responsible for engaging with external clients and internal stakeholders, as well as managing budgets, and personnel, and making key decisions. 

Your leadership qualities will be essential in guiding each stage of the project, and collaborating with various internal teams, whether in a head office environment or on-site during construction. As the 'voice of the project,' you must be skilled at managing challenges, risks, and reporting, while also fostering our company culture and values within the team. As Ocado Group continues to transform the shopping experience globally, our project delivery team will remain adaptable to meet evolving challenges.

 

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have:

- Experience in people and process leadership.

- Background in large-scale Project Management.

- Experience in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence, understand, and challenge expert opinions.

- Proficiency with PPM tools (such as Planisware, Oracle Primavera, etc.).

- A proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while driving tasks to completion.

- Effective communication and presentation skills at all levels within the organization.

- The ability to respond quickly to changing priorities.

- Strong planning and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.

- Experience with MS Office and Google Workspace.

 

While it is not essential, it would be beneficial if you also have:

- Client-facing Project Management experience (ideally in a similar or transferable industry).

- Experience with automation projects.

- International project experience.

- A formal Project Management qualification, such as PMI PMP/APMP or similar.

Location / Travel Requirements

This Project Manager position is remote, based in North America, but does require up to 50% travel.
